2019 Topps Baseball Series 1 hits shelves on January 30 and we have the details on the highly anticipated product’s checklist.
Can you feel it? The air will be getting warmer and the sweet sounds of a baseball cracking off a bat very soon. The official start to baseball season is almost with the launch of 2019 Topps Baseball Series 1.
In less than two weeks, the annual Topps baseball card release will be in stores, including hobby shops, Target, Walmart, and Topps.com, featuring top players, rookies, and a celebration of 150 years of professional baseball.
Today, we will start our own celebration as we count down the days (13 more!) to the release of 2019 Topps Baseball Series 1 on Jan. 30.
Here’s the first look at the checklist – minus card numbers for the base cards. Those card numbers will be added closer to release date with the announcement of which player won the vote for Card No. 1.
There are several inserts dedicated to the 150 years of baseball, including Greatest Seasons, Moments, Players, and Evolution, Revolution of the Game, and Greatest Returns. Of course, many of those years of baseball were chronicled with baseball cards and Topps has reprinted 50 Iconic Cards.
Originals of many of the greatest Topps cards are also available as special redemptions, including a 1952 Topps Andy Pafko No. 1, 1954 Topps Ted Williams No. 1, 1954 Topps Jackie Robinson No. 10 and so many more.
Longtime collectors will also recognize the 1984 Topps design in re-creations with a 35th anniversary celebratory look at the design known from their childhood.
The Home Run Challenge is back, giving collectors a chance to win exclusive cards, autographed memorabilia, and a grand prize of a trip to the 2020 MLB Home Run Derby. The Home Run Challenge cards will be easier to find in packs, giving collectors even more chances to win!
We’re excited for the release of 2019 Topps Baseball Series 1. See the full checklist here.
