2017 Topps Baseball Series 1 comes out in just two weeks. The kickoff to the baseball season is always an exciting time with baseball fan’s taking the day off and enjoying it with their family as they get their hands on new packs of cards.
This year, 2017 Topps Baseball Series 1 contains a 350-card base set with a number of veterans, stars and 30 rookies to fill out the selection. On the checklist, you’ll notice there are no numbers associated with the base cards – yet.
The numbers were intentionally left off until we announce the player who baseball fans voted to get the honor of being on Card No. 1 for 2017. The announcement will be coming next week and we’ll post an updated checklist afterward.

The insert list is also hefty. There are two 100-card insert sets to chase with Topps Salute and the 1987 Topps cards celebrating the 30th anniversary of the memorable design.
This year, Topps is teaming with the MLB Network to include exciting cards of the on-air personalities that will be featured throughout Series 1, Series 2 and Topps Update. Ten insert cards are included in 2017 Topps Baseball Series 1, including nine-signed parallels of on-air hosts Greg Amsinger, Lauren Shehadi and former players such as Hall of Famer John Smoltz, Harold Reynolds, Sean Casey and more.
Of course, Topps didn’t forget the World Series champions. There are cards included in 2017 Topps Baseball Series 1 celebrating the victory with four World Series Highlight cards and World Champion Relics and Autographs randomly inserted into packs.
