If there was ever a year to have a Dave Dravecky signed contract from it would be 1989. If you recall, Dravecky fought cancer in '88 and had it return during the N.L.C.S. of '89 and retired 18 days later. He won the Hutch Award in 1989 as the player who had the most "fighting spirit" in baseball.
