TOPPS/ALLEN & GINTER DICK PEREZ INSERT CARDS

As part of the 2006 issue of Topps/Allen & Ginter card set, Topps commissioned Dick Perez to create 30 unique, one of a kind works of art in the manner of the 1887 Allen & Ginter tobacco insert cards. These original works of art, some of which you see here, were done in miniature, something that Mr. Perez has never done before and found “challenging, interesting and satisfying.”

The official artist of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Dick Perez has painted every Hall of Famer – and now will provide 30 exclusive hand-sketched images of the Hall of Famers of tomorrow in this unique set.

Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball pays tribute to the first nationally distributed cards, the most popularly collected cards of the late 1800s. The original Allen & Ginter – featuring boxers, wrestlers, and, of course, baseball players – is one of the most sought after cards in existence among collectors. Now, collectors have the opportunity to own cards featuring talented athletes from today and yesterday on this historic design.
