BAZOOKA JOE'S 50th ANNIVERSARY GAME OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Void where prohibited. Open to legal U.S. residents. Game begins on or about May 1, 2003 and ends July 15, 2004, or when game pieces are gone.
1. HOW TO PLAY: Look in specially marked packages of Bazooka Bubble Gum to see if you are a winner, subject to verification of the Game Piece and your compliance with the Official Rules. Prizes will be found on the wrapper around each piece of gum. To receive FIVE (5) FREE GAME PIECES, while supplies last, and/or a copy of these Official Rules, send a hand-printed, self-addressed (no P.O. boxes), stamped #10 business size envelope (VT residents may omit return postage), to: Bazooka Game Piece/Official Rules Request, P.O. Box 77922, Baton Rouge, LA 70879-7922. Each request must be mailed separately, postmarked by 7/15/04 and received by 7/20/04. No copies or mechanically reproduced requests accepted. Official Rules, prize information, prize redemption and odds also available at www.topps.com. Allow 2 weeks for delivery of game pieces.
2. PRIZES/ODDS OF WINNING: (1) Grand Prize: $50,000 Cash payable as a check to the winner. Odds are 1:248,667,199. (100) First Prizes: 50lbs of Original Bazooka Bubble gum. ARV $250. Odds are 1:2,486,672.
3. PRIZE CLAIM/REDEMPTION: If you are a winner, the winning Game Piece found inside specially marked packages of Bazooka Bubble gum will say, "Instant Winner!!" and will identify the prize you have won, subject to verification and your compliance with the Official Rules. To claim your prize, mail, in a postage pre-paid #10, business size envelope, your original winning Game Piece and a hand-printed 3x5 card/ paper that includes your name, date of birth, the name of your parent or legal guardian if you are a minor in your jurisdiction of residence, your complete address with zip code (no P.O. Boxes), daytime telephone number, and prize designated on the winning Game Piece, to: Bazooka Prize Claims, P.O. Box 110360, Trumbull, CT 06611-0360. Winners should make and retain a photocopy of the winning Game Piece before mailing. The Grand Prize claim should be sent by certified, registered or express mail, return receipt requested. One prize claim per envelope mailed separately. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of delivery. Submission of game pieces is solely the responsibility of each participant, who assumes all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay and misdirection of game pieces. Game materials submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. You are not a winner until your Game Piece, submission and your eligibility have been verified by the Sponsor and the Independent Judging Organization, whose decisions relative to the Game are final and binding in all respects. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Independent Judging Organization. Winning Game Pieces contain special points of identification that have been verified by the Independent Judging Agency. Promotion ends 7/15/04, and all prize claims must be received by 8/1/04. Allow 8 weeks for verification of prize claim and delivery.
4. SECOND CHANCE DRAWING ("Drawing"): If all prizes are not claimed, a random drawing will be held on or about 8/30/04 to award all unclaimed prizes. To enter, hand-print your name, the name of your parent or legal guardian if you are a minor in your jurisdiction of residence, complete address (no P.O. Boxes), date of birth and daytime telephone number on a 3x5 card/paper and mail to: Bazooka Joe's Second Chance Drawing, P.O. Box 77925, Baton Rouge, LA 70879-7925. One entry per outer postage-paid envelope. Entries must be received by 7/20/04. Odds of winning depend on number of unclaimed prizes, if any, and number of eligible entries received.
5. ELIGIBILITY: Promotion is open to all legal U.S. residents, except: (1) employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, their affiliates and subsidiaries, and the advertising or promotion agencies and suppliers of game materials and prizes; and (2) persons in the immediate family (spouse, siblings, parents, grandparents, or children, regardless of where they live) and persons living in the same household, whether related or not, as any person in the preceding category.
6. PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: Unless otherwise noted, prizes not redeemable for cash. No prize transfers or substitutions, except in Sponsor's sole discretion if prize becomes unavailable for any reason. All federal, state, and local taxes and all expenses relating to the acceptance and use of the prizes not specified as included in these Official Rules are the sole responsibility of the winners.
7. OTHER CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Participation subject to these Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor not responsible for lost, late, stolen, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, postage due or misdirected mail. Any Game Pieces that contain any printing, mechanical, seeding, typographical or other errors, or are forged, altered, defaced, tampered with, duplicated, or are irregular in any way will be void and disqualified. In such event, Sponsor is only responsible to provide another Game Piece, while supplies last. Sponsor is not obligated to award any prizes in excess of the numbers listed herein. In the event that more prizes are claimed than the stated number available in any prize category, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prizes in a random drawing from among all eligible and valid claims in such category. In no event, will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded in the Promotion. Grand and First Prize Winners will be notified by mail at the address supplied by the entrant and will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity within 10 days of receipt of notification. By accepting a prize, where legal, each Winner agrees to the use of his or her name, address, photograph, videotape, or any likeness for advertising or publicity purposes in any media (including without limitation the Internet and World Wide Web) and to the use of statements made by or attributed to Winner relating to this game without further review or consideration. If Winner is not of legal age of majority in state of residence ("minor"), prize will be awarded to minor's parent or legal guardian who will be required to complete and sign all documents. In the event of noncompliance or if a prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, prize will be forfeited and awarded in the Second Chance Drawing. By participating, each participant agrees to release The Topps Company, Inc., Bochanis Rogan Zoom LLC, and their respective parent companies, affiliates, and subsidiaries, the service agencies and independent contractors of any of the above organizations; and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, actions, damages, or liability with respect to or in any way arising from this promotion, participation in any promotion-related activity, and/or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of a prize, including, but not limited to, liability for personal injury, bodily injury including wrongful death or disability, damage to property, and damage or loss of any other kind. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, or for any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions in the game/Second Chance Drawing. Sponsor is not responsible for user cheating or fraud or misrepresentations, intentional or otherwise, by any entrants. Any activities intended to disrupt or interfere with the proper play of the game/Second Chance Drawing or defraud the Sponsor in any way will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Participants who engage in any of the foregoing activities will be disqualified and will forfeit any prizes won. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify or terminate the game/Second Chance Drawing in the event of any act, occurrence or reason which it believes would corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this game/Second Chance Drawing, and to award any unclaimed prizes in the Second Chance Drawing.
