| With Halloween upcoming in October lets take a Flashback look at our Funny Monsters card set issued in Autumn of 1959. This set of 66 cards was actually offered as a premium when purchasing one of our bubble gum products. Though the Monster cards were all the rage with the bubblegum crowd, the set apparently had its adult critics. One Midwestern reviewer in 1959 openly editorialized, "Who knows what terrors they might inspire in a 7 year old. I'd like to know how many nightmares they have inspired." We'll let you decide if the fuss was merited!
