With the July 27th unleashing of 20th Century Fox's all new Planet Of The Apes Movie, Topps is proud to announce that our all new Planet Of The Apes Card Set will be in stores by mid July. Our May Flashback Page takes a simultaneous look back at our 1969 Planet Of The Apes Card Set while also looking forward to our new Planet Of The Apes Card Set.

Our 44-card Planet Of The Apes Card Set, issued in 1969, was based on the classic 1968 movie. In a Darwinian role reversal, Astronaut George Taylor (Charlton Heston) lands on a planet where Apes are the ruling class, and humans are the harshly-treated, lower primates. Taylor befriends Nova (Linda Harrison) and is aided by Ape Doctors Zira and Cornelius to escape to "The Forbidden Zone".

Our 2001 Planet Of The Apes Card Set is based on Director Tim Burton's re-imagining of the 1968 movie classic. Mark Wahlberg, Estella Warren, Helena Bonham-Carter, Tim Roth, Michael Clarke Duncan, Paul Giamatti...Charlton Heston and Linda Harrison are but some of the fabulous cast to appear in this year's Apes' movie! Our Set will contain 90 Regular Cards and 10 Embossed Foil Cards. Our Hobby product will also contain Autograph Cards and Movie Memorabilia Cards. Our Retail product will also contain 10 Stickers and 6 Simian Suede Cards. In stores this July!
